Family Meal at Ivory Road



In August of 2019, we are excited to begin our new fine-tuned supper series: Family Meal at Ivory Road.  Served the last Wednesday of each month, these themed family-style dinners are inspired by our chefs’ love of travel, family, and collaboration.  The dinners will typically be four elevated courses, with options for beer, wine and cider pairings.  We aim to create a convivial, family-like atmosphere as we weave our culinary passions with great conversation, great company, and joy.  Please stay tuned as details about each dinner will roll-out as they approach.

Tickets $45 // $65 with wine, beer or cider pairing, as indicated. Price does not include tax or gratuity.

Welcome Bite – “L-S-D” Mushroom – Lobster, Serrano, and Daikon-stuffed Mushrooms

Vegetarian option: Sweet Potato substitute for Lobster

1st – Purple Potato Soup with Fennel, Creme Fraiche and “Off-with-His-Cat-head-Biscuit!” with Meadowfoam Honey

2nd – Charred Octopus with Arugula and Pear Puree, Smoked Paprika Blood Orange Sauce and Jicama

Vegetarian option: Charred Eggplant substitute for Octopus

3rd – Rabbit Leg Confit with Sweet Potato Pappardelle, Roasted Fava Beans and Sage “Caviar”

Vegetarian option: Spaghetti Squash substitute for Rabbit

4th – Black Rice Pudding with Lychee Lemon Grass Mousse, Coconut Tapioca Pearls and Eucalyptus Gelee


MEAD PAIRING – with Alchemy Herbal Wine made right here in AVL! Owner, Griffin, will be present to chat about this nutritionally-rich ancient beverage, the intentions behind her creations, and to answer any questions!

Our Welcome Bite (Stuffed Mushroom) will be paired with “SYNERGY” – a dry & effervescent mead made with local honey, turmeric, ginseng and ginger

Our 1st Course (Purple Potato Soup) will be paired with “TRANQUILITY” – an aromatic and smooth mead made with local honey, tulsi, passionflower, lemon balm, hops, chamomile, licorice and valerian

Our 2nd Course (Charred Octopus) will be paired with “HEART” – an intense, bold mead made with ingredients to support a strong heart: hawthorn berries, blueberries, cacao, ginger and cayenne

Our 3rd Course (Rabbit) will be paired with “PROSPERITY” – an earthy, woodsy mead made with cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, allspice, star anise, mace, and ginger

Our 4th Course (Black Rice Pudding & Lychee Mousse) will be paired with “LOVE” – a light and floral, yet crisp mead made with rose, damiana, cardamom, vanilla, ginger and pomegranate – all known aphrodisiacs!

2020 Upcoming Family Meal Dinners

January 22nd – Down the Rabbit Hole! Four whimsical, extra-ordinary courses that may not be as they seem! A celebration of gastronomic creativity.

February 12th – Mangia Abruzzo! Our rural, rustic Italian-themed dinner featuring homemade pasta, homemade ricotta, and whole fish entree, amongst much more!

March 25th – Ivory Road, Refined!  For this dinner, we’ve taken our customers’ all-time favorite dishes over the years and turned them into an upscale four course dinner.  We’ll be serving spins on The Franklin, the Southern Skillet, our Tomato Pie, and more!


Cancellation policy: a fee of 50% will be charged to the credit card on file in the event of a cancellation within 48 hours, or a no-show.
